With the end of school, Canada Day, and the first long weekend of the summer upon us, let’s take a moment to look back on some of the superb initiatives and events that have helped start the summer off right here at ONEC.
Our team has enjoyed participating in several charity golf tournaments with our valued partners, clients, and communities over the past few months. These sponsorships and opportunities to hit the green have served as wonderful occasions to support great causes, reconnect with existing connections, and make new ones face-to-face. We would like to thank all the hosting organizations and companies for allowing us to join in the fun while positively impacting our society. ONEC is also excited to be “co-powering” the VETS Industry Invitational Golf Tournament in support of Valour Place and Little Warriors this August. We’ve been doing more than just golfing, though. We also kept it a little closer to home this month by partnering with Sturgeon County to host their annual Sturgeon County Industrial Park (SIP) Lunch. Held at our Sturgeon County shop location, this lunch greeted neighbours from the park, community and council leaders, and clients. We enjoyed working with Sturgeon County to host this event and look forward to more community-based events soon!
Back at our headquarters in Edmonton, staff was invited to gather and enjoy the culinary concoctions of our CEO, CFO, and COO at our first corporate summer BBQ. Seeing familiar faces and catching up with our colleagues was great.
Summer is a season of warm days, activity, and an opportunity to get out and enjoy the people and interests we all love the most. As a company committed to balance in all its forms, we would like to wish our staff, clients, partners, and communities a fantastic summer!
