The Gala’s been cancelled, the kids party too,
Christmas is coming, so what shall we do?
What’s the best way, to show that we care?
Physically distanced of course, and will Santa be there?
But then, like a flash, it came to us when,
What if we brought ONEC Christmas to them?
We’ll deliver a gift to show that we care,
Although we know we can’t all be there.
Now RICHARD! Now SHAUN! Now JEROME and DION!
On ANDY! On ERYN! On MICHAEL and IAN!
To the top of the porch to the top of the wall!
Now dash away! Dash away! Dash away all!
Employees all working away in their homes,
Zooming along, together, alone.
It took quite a change, no one could refute,
Kicking yourself when you hear “you’re on mute”!
From Accounting to Scaffold, Main Office to Shop,
Efforts of employees didn’t come to a stop.
Coal to Gas, Logistics, USA, and BC,
The pressure stayed on, that’s plain to see.
ONEC rose to the challenge, took it all in stride,
That’s quite the achievement in which to take pride.
Now it’s coming to an end, it’s been quite a year,
We hope that this gift has brought you some cheer.
