Vice President, Engineering
Dan has a long history of managing groups of talented professionals. From Program, Portfolio, and PMO offices, he has accumulated 15 years of experience, particularly in engineering. He is experienced in Industrial, Commercial, and Institutional markets. Dan is also well-versed in delivering conceptual design, detailed design, tendering, contract management, occupational health and safety, and administration through the course of construction. Dan has led multi-discipline engineering projects as large as 400,000 sq. ft. on 75 acres. He has also managed customer relationships while Project Managing a combination of energy efficiency studies, designs, and builds at over 60 sites, including recreational, civic, and emergency services facilities which included acting in the capacity of Prime Contractor and implementing environmentally responsible and energy-efficient retrofits in facilities.
Andy Reid, P.Eng.
Manager, Piping/Process/Mechanical Engineering
Andy is a Professional Mechanical Engineer with over 10 years of Project Management experience in heavy industrial construction and design. His experience includes project management, piping design and installation, technical crane lift studies, and design of safety devices. Andy has experience working with P&IDs, material take-offs, pipe and valve specifications, QA/QC, scheduling, shutdown work, cost control, and various ASME and CSA Codes including ASME B31.1, B31.3, and CSA B149.1. His engineering leadership skills have been used in the role of Project Engineer, to manage projects involving multidiscipline teams, liaising with clients and sub-trades on a daily basis.
Trevor King, P.Eng.
Chief Engineer, Piping/Process/Mechanical Engineering
Trevor joined ONEC in 2006. He is a mechanical engineer with 20 years of experience in industrial mechanical engineering, project management, and plant maintenance. His experience includes project management, piping stress analysis, finite element analysis, equipment specification development, shutdown work, and commissioning. Trevor has experience working with P&IDs, layout drawings, isometrics, material take-offs, pipe and valve specifications, and various ASME and CSA Codes.
Ravi Grewal, P.Eng.
Manager & Chief Engineer, Electrical/ Instrumentation/Controls Engineering
Ravi joined ONEC in 2015 and became a manager in 2016. He is an Electrical Engineer with over 16 years of experience in roles spanning from design engineer to lead engineer in power generation, renewables, and oil & gas facilities. His areas of specialty include power distribution, relay coordination, power system studies, motor controls, and electric heat tracing. Ravi has been involved in several large projects from conceptual definition through commissioning and start-up.
Raymond Surage, CEng., MIStructE, P.Eng.
Manager, Civil/Structural Engineering
Raymond is a structural engineer with over 30 years of experience in analysis, designing, and reviewing construction works involving steel, reinforced concrete, timber, masonry, and composite materials. He has used the Alberta and National Building Code of Canada extensively since 2010 and has vast experience in applying the British Standards and the Eurocodes. Raymond is well-versed in working within multidisciplinary teams and providing leadership in all phases of projects. He has extensive hands-on experience working in the field, on a few occasions, being seconded and working with, the construction team. He is experienced in undertaking structural condition assessments and inspections of buildings (including commercial, industrial, schools, residential), bridges, railway structures, docks, etc. and carrying out reviews of structural failures. Raymond has provided innovative designs solutions to unique, complex and challenging structural framing and load path problems.
Ian Park, P.Eng.
Chief Engineer, Civil/Structural Engineering
Ian joined ONEC in 2004 and became a principal in 2005. He has more than 24 years of hands-on experience in engineering design, construction engineering, plant engineering, engineering management, and project management. Ian’s area specialties include safety systems, systems equipment, and finite element and dynamic analysis.
