About Us

Process Engineering

ONEC provides process engineering services through ONEC Engineering.

Our Engineers provide our industrial clients with preliminary engineering of potential processes, process auditing of current processes, and detailed process design services. We take into account the life cycle of the process, along with how it will affect existing processes.

As part of a complete solution, special consideration is given to the following design parameters: capital and O&M costs, environmental impact and sustainability, risk mitigation, flexibility, reliability, redundancy, safety, and waste reduction.

What we DO

  • Process design and optimization
  • Feasibility and FEED studies
  • Process auditing
  • Computer process simulation
  • Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs)
  • Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
  • Municipal and industrial water and waste water treatment
  • Natural gas processing, scrubbing, cracking, upgrading, refining, and distillation processes
  • SAGD processes
  • Boiler design review and chemistry optimization

Biosolids Dewatering Upgrade

This project was a large scale expansion to double the capacity of a wastewater facility. ONEC’s scope included lagoon modifications, ECF surge tank upgrades, centrifuge and polymer injection installation, dry sludge surge tank, and truck load out area upgrades.

Scope: Multi-discipline Engineering, Project Management, Construction

Completion: 2016

Modular Water Treatment Plants

ONEC provided design and construction services to build five modular water treatment plants. Working from a conceptual design, and using treatment technology provided by GE Water and Process Technologies, ONEC undertook the detailed engineering to integrate the key process components into a modular structure that was constructed at its own facility in Edmonton. After a complete wet commissioning in Edmonton, the plants were shipped by truck to five remote communities in the Northwest Territories.

Scope: Project Management, Process Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Fabrication, and Commissioning

Completion: 2014
