Manager, Civil/Structural Engineering

Raymond is a structural engineer with over 30 years of experience in analysis, designing, and reviewing construction works involving steel, reinforced concrete, timber, masonry, and composite materials. He has used the Alberta and National Building Code of Canada extensively since 2010 and has vast experience in applying the British Standards and the Eurocodes. Raymond is well-versed in working within multidisciplinary teams and providing leadership in all phases of projects. He has extensive hands-on experience working in the field, on a few occasions, being seconded and working with, the construction team. He is experienced in undertaking structural condition assessments and inspections of buildings (including commercial, industrial, schools, residential), bridges, railway structures, docks, etc. and carrying out reviews of structural failures. Raymond has provided innovative designs solutions to unique, complex and challenging structural framing and load path problems.

Projects

GEN3 Fly Ash Silo Walkway Feasibility Study

 

ONEC was contracted by a client to complete a feasibility study to explore alternatives for developing a cost-effective walkway to improve access to the top of a fly ash silo. Based on the assessment, ONEC was retained to provide detailed design and engineering services for the walkway access bridge.

De-Icer Blower Skid

ONEC provided EPC services for the De-Icer Blower Package for a client’s tailings facility in Northern Alberta. This project included two 400HP blowers and a critical fabrication schedule. Our team was awarded the project in November of 2012 and delivered a fully tested blower package in March 2013. Both our engineering and fabrication teams worked extended schedules to meet the tight deadline.
